I quite like Apple’s minimal UI for turn-by-turn directions. It’s a pleasant aesthetic, although I do miss Grown Up Satnav features like POIs and ETAs and other TLAs. But Apple’s approach is rather disconcerting when you’re driving through country lanes in rural Wales.
