Achievement unlocked: Gluttony

A London food diary of my weekend:

  • Friday afternoon — club sandwich from Marks & Spencers at Reading services
  • Friday evening — wine and mojitos, in bulk
  • Friday night — pizza with @grimdotdotdot (plus mozzarella sticks and jalapeño poppers, he has reminded me)
  • Saturday morning, 6am — leftover pizza
  • Saturday mid-morning — bacon and egg bagel from London Bridge station
  • Saturday lunchtime — Gourmet Burger Kitchen (garlic mayo) burger with @secretsquirrel
  • Satuday night — seven course tasting menu at The Greenhouse in Mayfair with @craster (from whom I stole the title of this post), including pigeon, foie gras, and beef carpaccio
  • Sunday morning — Mrs @craster made us bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, and toast
  • Sunday lunchtime — three course lunch at The Spread Eagle in Greenwich, including chicken liver pate with brioche toast and roast belly pork with mashed potatoes
  • Sunday dinnertime — home-made kofta meatballs with ragu and rice, courtesy of DBSnappa

On the plus side, I’m now poor, ordinary food seems awful now, and I have gout.
