I’m a bit struck. Not just by Jennifer’s beauty but by the fact that this photo doesn’t seem to have got the glamour treatment that makes skin look smooth as silicon. She looks like a real woman. And none the worse for it.
A friend of mine, a professional photographer, uses a marvellous word for “the process of taking a picture of someone in Photoshop and airbrushing the life out of it for a glossy magazine”. That word is battered.
